Exhibition about the “Divine Comedy”

Dear Sirs,
I am writing you on the name of the Major of the Municipality of Bodio Lomnago, Eleonora Paolelli, and on the name of the Chairman of the Italian Ex libris Association, Angelo Sampietro, in order to introduce you the exhibition about the “Divine Comedy”.
It is a big exhibition made up of about 200 engravings (ex libris and graphics of small and big size) realized by artists from all over the world on the topic “Divine Comedy”. There are both historical and contemporary works, from the collection of the Association and from the international ex libris contest organized by the library of Bodio Lomnago. The event is supported by the Italian Ministry for Culture and it is registered in the list of the official events celebrating the 700th anniversary of Dante’s death.

There are works of many Russian artists, and in particular from St. Petersburg, thanks to Vladimir Vereschagin, who helped us in sharing the informations and the calling form of the competition.
If the pandemic allows us, we will officially open the exhibition on October 16th, during the ex libris meeting in Bodio Lomnago and the exhibition will be available since the end of 2021. We are scheduling an European tour, according to the requests, and we think it will be interesting to add also an event in St. Petersburg, to thank all the artists involved in the event.
